The North Country’s annual Moose Festival is one of the region’s biggest events and is a favorite among both locals and visitors. Held each August, the Moose Festival features a moose-calling competition, moose chili tasting, and the opportunity to look for moose. It also includes arts and crafts vendors, a maple syrup tasting contest, horse and wagon rides, live music and more.

Another popular event is the annual Dixville Notch Music, Arts and Crafts Festival held each spring at Mohawk Falls. The festival features live music, arts and crafts vendors, delicious food, artist workshops and much more. The Harvest Festival, held each fall, showcases local growers, crafters and artists, while the region welcomes in the arrival of winter each December with the Snowflake Festival, which has horse-drawn wagon rides, Santa’s workshop, a parade and fireworks.

One of the most popular winter events is the annual Go North Snofest, which is a huge celebration of the region’s snowmobiling culture. Snofest features an antique and vintage snowmobile display and show, rides on groomers, a chance to test drive brand new snowmobile models and more.

Of course, these are only some of the wonderful events held regularly in the North Country. No matter when you visit, you’ll find plenty of great events and activities to enjoy while you are here.
